We kindly request the following from our clients during the corona virus outbreak:
PLEASE DO NOT COME IF YOU ARE SICK OR HAVE BEEN SICK OR HAVE TRAVELED OUT OF THE COUNTRY DURING THE LAST 14 DAYS. INSTEAD, PLEASE ARRANGE FOR A TRUSTED FRIEND, NEIGHBOR, OR HEALTHY FAMILY MEMBER TO TRANSPORT YOUR PET TO OUR HOSPITAL. IF YOU CALL AHEAD, WE WILL GLADLY ACCOMMODATE YOUR REPRESENTATIVE AND MAKE APPROPRIATE ARRANGEMENTS.
PLEASE LIMIT THE NUMBER OF FAMILY MEMBERS OR FRIENDS THAT COME WITH YOU TO YOUR APPOINTMENT.
IF YOU HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR THE CORONA VIRUS AND YOUR PET NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICIAL FOR INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE CALLING US.

*** IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE STARTING MONDAY, JUNE 7, 2021:
With the improvement in Covid cases and hospitalizations, Mt. Pleasant Animal Hospital's protocol will be as follows:
1) Everyone will call us at 704-436-9715 from their cars when they arrive in our parking lot.
2) Those who are wearing masks will be instructed to wait in their car until we phone them back, at which time they will bring their dog and/or cat inside our DOG door. Our staff will meet you and take your pet along with one owner straight into an exam room. Our doctor will meet with you and then instruct you to pay at the check-out window and then exit through the CAT door. If you prefer not to stay in our building, you are welcome to return to your car and wait for the doctor to phone you back after your pet has been seen. In this case, payment will be taken over the phone and you will be instructed when to come back inside to retrieve your pet. We still want to limit the number of people in our lobby.
3) If you are NOT able to wear a mask, you will be instructed to wait in your car until we phone you back at which time our staff will gladly meet you OUTSIDE in front of our building. You will assume the risk if your pet somehow slips his/her leash and gets loose. Our staff will make a transfer and take your pet back inside and into the treatment room while you go back out to your car to wait for us to call you when finished. Payment will be taken over the phone and our staff will then meet you back OUTSIDE in front of our building.
4) If you need to pick up medications or food, please call ahead. We will take your request and have you pay over the phone at that time. Then when you arrive at our facility, please CALL us from your car. A staff member will then bring your product out to your car
AS WE ARE A HOSPITAL WITH MANY PEOPLE COMING IN DURING THE DAY, NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE OUR BUILDING WITHOUT A MASK.
