VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

Katie Bonds grew up in Maryland.  She attended Towson University receiving a bachelors in animal behavior then a degree in veterinary technology at Essex. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 2010 as a registed veterinary technician. Katie has a special interest in anesthegiology, dentistry, animal behavior and client education. Her family life includes her husband and of course pets include 2 orange tabbies. During off-time, Katie enjoys foreign languages, writing, hiking, canoeing, sailing, and sea scouting.

RECEPTIONIST

Samantha Jensen started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 2008 as a receptionist and then transfered to our Mt. Pleasant hospital.  Her family life includes 2 cats: Roux and Georgia and dog Sally.  During off-time, Samantha enjoys photography and scrapbooking.

Michelle Kolaya grew up in New Symere Beach, FL and Concord, NC. She graduated from High School and then attended CPCC for 2 years. Michelle started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 1988 and then transferred to Mt. Pleasant Animal Hospital where she still remains. Michele  enjoys  reading and painting. Family life includes her mother, two sisters, two nieces, one nephew, and a multitude of great nieces and nephews. And of course pets include a large variety, including one cat, several boston terriers, dachshunds, tortoises, and multiple birds.

 

Dannelle Elise Stanback grew up in Kannapolis, NC. She attended UNC Pembroke, receiving a degree in bachelor biology with a zoology concentration. Elise started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in  2006 as a veterinary assistant and then transferred to our Mt. Pleasant office. Elise especially enjoys pit bull terriers and Oscars (fish). Her family life includes her son Nathaniel Jr. and several dogs. During off-time, Elise enjoys movies, basketball, and video games.

GROOMER - Available in Both Locations

Elizabeth Gibson grew up in Rockingham and Charlotte Attended CPCC for business, UNC choral and veterinary assistant home study. started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in July 2009 as our groomer. She has been grooming professionally for 41 years. She is master certified dogs and cats w/ IPG in 1988. Beth's favorite bred is the ones w/ legs. Beth enjoys anything animal related and cooking. Her family life includes 5 grown children and 22 grandchildren. During off-time, Beth enjoys antiquing, thrift stores, fishing and spending time with family.

Laurel Dancy grew up in Concord/Kannapolis, NC. She attended Northwest Cabarrus High School and then CCTC. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 1987 as a registered veterinary technician. Laurel has a special interest in surgery and anesthetics. During off-time, Laurel enjoys being an Aunt, spending time with her dachshund Max, and reading.

OFFICE MANAGER

Eileen G. Moose grew up in Red Hook, NY. She attended Mt. Pleasant High School and then RCCC Cosmetology College. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in October 1985 as a office manager. Her family life includes husband, 1 child and 1 grandchild. During off time, Eileen enjoys spending time with family, friends and pets.

RECEPTIONISTS

Brenda Joyce Tortoreo grew up in Hollywood, Florida. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in March 1990 as a receptionist.  Her family life includes 1 daughter and 3 granddaughters. During off -time, Brenda enjoys collecting vintage radios/ record players and trunks.

Vickey McGlosson  grew up in San Jose, California. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in Febuary 2007 as a receptionist. During off-time, Vickey enjoys spending time with her dog Nala, gardening and reading.

Kimberly Anne Nicole Scott  grew up in Concord, NC. She attended Northwest Cabarrus High School and currently attends RCCC. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in     2009 as a  receptionist. Her family life includes daughter Aubrey and three chihuahuas. During off-time, Kim enjoys spending time with family and pets.



Lorena Chase grew up in Orlando, Florida. She attended Salisbury High School and  RCCC for 1 year. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 2010 as a receptionist. Her family life includes 1 cat: Mocha and 2 dogs: Meadow and MoJo. During off-time, Lorena enjoys writing, animals, theater, music, comedy and spending time with family and friends.

Rebecca "Marie" Laws

Jenny Carroll grew up in Concord, NC.  She attended Concord  High School and then Furman University and UNC Greensboro. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 2010 as a receptionist. Her family life includes parents Bill & Carol, and several dogs and cats. During off time, Jenny enjoys singing, piano, sewing, knitting, crocheting and horseback riding.

VETERINARY ASSISTANTS

Connie Y. Hill grew up in Concord, NC. She attended Central Cabarrus High School and then RCCC for a semester. Connie started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in April of 1998 as a veterinary/dental assistant. Connie has a special interest in animal dentistry and adopting out puppies and kittens to loving homes. Family life includes husband Jamie and son Drew and of course pets including 2 cats: Stucco and Adam, 2 dogs: Herbie the love pug and Claire the PBGV, also a tortoise named Rupert. During off-time, Connie enjoys collecting and using vintage/treadle sewing machines, quilting, movies, games, pet sitting, and spending time with family.

Mary Thomas grew up in Cabarrus county. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 2001 as a volunteer, which developed into a part-time position. After some time spent trying other things, Mary rejoined our family as a veterinary assistant. Her family life includes a baby boy on the way and of course pets, including boxer Roxi, rottweiler Yogi and new rotti mix pup Izzy. During off-time, Mary enjoys bowling in a league.

Amanda Ryan grew up in Concord, NC and is currently enrolled at Gaston Community College where she will start the Vet Tech Program in the fall. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in the spring of 2010 as a veterinary assistant. Amanda is currently working to gain skills for her future. Her family life includes parents and of course pets, including two dogs Spike and Carley. During off-time, Amanda enjoys reading, collecting comic books, playing with her dogs and she is an avid movie buff.                                       

PHARMACY

Majorie Holloway-Mills grew up in Mt. Pleasant. She attended Mt. Pleasant High Schooland then UNCC, receiving a B.A. in biology. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 1995 and is currently our Inventory and Pharmacy Manager. Her family life includes her husband Bryan, 2 dogs, donkeys, horses and cows. During off-time, Marjorie enjoys farming, collecting tractors, antiquing and spending time with family.

LAB

Elizabeth Rothwell grew up in Concord, NC and attended RCCC. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 2000 as a lab/veterinary assistant. Elizabeth enjoys pet sitting. Her family life includes 5 dogs, 1 cat, and 2 turtles.

Kerri Kluttz Roberts grew up in Concord, NC.  She attended Concord High School, and started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 2005 as a lab and pharmacy assistant.  Kerri has a special interest in lab, pharmacy and pet sitting. Family life includes husband, son, and of course pets include  3 golden retrievers and 1 cat. During off time, Kerri enjoys spending time with family.

Meredith Grist Stafford grew up in Concord, NC. She attended RCCC. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 2009 as a lab assistant. her family life includes husband, 3 dogs and 3 cats. During off-time, Meredith enjoys football, yardwork, spending time with family, animals, and the shopping centers.

KENNEL

Cindy Goodman Thompson grew up in China Grove, NC and attends RCCC. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 2007 as a kennel manager. her family life includes husband Brian, and pets include 2 dogs: JayJay and Roxy and 1 cat: Baxter. During off-time, Cindy enjoys hanging out with family and friends and pet sitting.

Leslie Anne Thompson grew up in China Grove, NC. She attended  South Rowan High School and attends RCCC. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 2008 as a kennel assistant. Leslie enjoys learning veterinary medicine. Her family life includes her boyfriend Jason, 4 dogs: Pablo, Beasto, Buster and Bizzy, 2 cats: Reggie and TomTom. During off-time, Leslie enjoys movies.

Angela Dawn Kirks grew up in Concord, NC and attended Concord High School. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 2007 as a kennel assistant. Angela has a special interest in chihuahuas and bottle feeding kittens. Her family life includes her father and boyfriend Scooter. And of course pets include 5 chihuahuas and several cats. During off-time, Angela enjoys kayaking and fishing.

Kimberly Megan Cooper grew up in  Kannapolis, NC. She started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 2008 as a  kennel assistant. Megan enjoys learning about forensics anthropology. Her family life includes fiance Christopher and a baby boy on the way, and of course pets including 2 dogs: Cowboy and Babygirl and 1 cat: Buddy. During off-time,  Megan enjoys  the outdoors,  the lake and swimming.

Brian M. DePue grew up in Harrisburg, NC. He attends Hickory Ridge High School. He started working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, P.A. in 2009 as a  kennel assistant. Brian has a special interest in working with animals. His family life includes Dad- Carl, Mom- Linda and brother- Brad and a dog Bailey. During off-time, Brian enjoys fishing, baseball and playing cards.
